What is Lay Eucharistic Visitation?
Lay Eucharistic Visitation is a ministry that brings the sacrament from the altar (usually on Sundays) to those who are homebound or in a position where they cannot attend church.
Who can be a visitor?
This is open to all baptized persons who are willing to be trained in confidentiality, active listening, and boundaries. They also have to complete Safeguarding God’s People training to fulfill the Diocese of Florida requirements.
What is expected?
You will be scheduled once every 4 to 6 weeks to take communion to people in need. In an emergency, you may also be called upon to take communion to a care receiver on a specific day of the week; of course DEPENDING ON YOUR AVAILABILITY.
